Garfield War is one of those games that I didn't think I would become addicted to, but I did. It's a fast-paced, entertaining tower defense game with a peculiar take on the traditional formula. You play as Garfield—the same lazy, lasagna-loving cat we all know—but this time, he’s not lounging around. He’s on a mission to defend his fridge as his life depends on it.

The storyline is honestly ridiculous in the best way possible. Waves of alien food enemies come charging in from the right side of the screen, all heading straight for Garfield’s kitchen. At first, I thought it would be simple, but each enemy behaves differently, which keeps you on your toes. Some are fast, some are tougher, and some just catch you off guard if you’re not paying attention.
Your goal sounds easy—don’t let them reach the fridge—but once things pick up, it gets surprisingly intense. I found myself constantly adjusting my strategy mid-game just to keep up.
The gameplay is all about setting up defenses, upgrading your abilities, and reacting at the right moment. Since enemies only come from the right, positioning becomes a huge deal. I quickly realized that where you place things can make or break your run.
There’s this constant push and pull between attacking and defending. Sometimes I’d go all-in on offense, only to regret it when a tougher wave showed up. Other times, I’d play it safe and build up defenses, which paid off later. As the waves get harder, the pressure really kicks in—it turns into a real test of both reflexes and planning.
What I love most is the vibe. It never takes itself too seriously. You’ve got this lazy cartoon cat fighting off bizarre alien food, and somehow it just works. Even when things get hectic, it still feels light and fun. It’s easy to jump into, but actually mastering it takes some effort, which kept me coming back.

They always come from the right side, so that’s where your attention needs to be. I learned pretty quickly that ignoring that side—even for a moment—can cost you the game.
Absolutely. You still need a good plan, despite the fact that it feels quick and a little chaotic. In my experience, it basically boils down to:
Yes, and rather obviously so. Every wave intensifies the situation with:
